Where It Started

Aubrey’s journey into design began early. Raised in a family deeply rooted in interior design and custom construction, she was surrounded by floor plans, fabric samples, site visits, and blueprints before she ever picked up a pencil. This early exposure built a deep understanding of how spaces are made — not just visually, but structurally, functionally, and emotionally.

She studied Interior Design at Ringling College of Art and Design, graduating with high honors and receiving recognition as the program’s Presidential Scholar. But her education didn’t stop at design theory. She pursued sustainable design practices, earned LEED credentials, and went beyond the studio to study traditional craftsmanship — apprenticing with a woodworker in Italy and learning the tactile language of materials through welding and furniture making.

That commitment to understanding how things are built — not just how they look — continues to define her work today.

A Career That Crosses Disciplines

Before launching her own studio, Aubrey’s career took her across industries and continents. At The Walt Disney Company, she worked on immersive hospitality environments under the creative leadership of Wing T. Chao, where she learned how large-scale spaces could still feel deeply personal.

Her creative path also included working with architecture firms in New York City, contributing to high-end residential and commercial spaces, and participating in an artist residency in Shanghai. These experiences broadened her perspective and sharpened her belief that good design isn’t about a signature style — it’s about understanding people, place, and purpose.

She also collaborated with fashion and lifestyle brands, which expanded her knowledge of how design can influence brand identity and guest experience. This multidisciplinary background gave her the ability to see design through many lenses — each one contributing to her thoughtful, layered approach.
